Your first visit will begin with a new patient exam and consultation with Dr. Furgurson or Dr. White. You’ll have a chance to talk to your Chapel Hill dentist about your dental and medical history as well as your dental concerns and goals. If you need cosmetic or restorative dental treatment, we’ll design a treatment plan that fits your needs and budget.

What should I bring to my first dental appointment?
We suggest you arrive a few minutes before your first dental appointment to give you time to fill out your new patient paperwork. Please bring your dental insurance information with you as well.
Does Dr. Furgurson accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept nearly all dental insurance plans. While we don’t participate in any managed care dental plans, we can still provide you with dental treatment and assist you with the claims process. Many of our patients see us as an out-of-network provider and still maximize their insurance benefits.
Do you see children?
Yes, Dr. Furgurson is a family dentist and we welcome children to our Chapel Hill dentist office. The American Dental Association recommends that children see a dentist by the time their first tooth erupts. Bringing children to the dentist at a young age helps them feel more comfortable and relaxed. We generally begin providing routine care for children (every six months) at age of 3.
